Does anyone wear silk underwear with a drysuit?

Yep.

And it works as well as it does on land?

On top I wear a long sleeve silk shirt, then a Duofold shirt, then my drysuit undies. Works great!! The silk helps wick moisture (sweat) away from your skin keeping you dryer........therefore warmer.

But, more importantly, it makes you feel fancy.

I'm currently looking into varous ways of doing things.

Right now I am layering like this:

TOP:

Nike Dri-Fit -> Undergarment

BOTTOM:

Underarmour -> Undergarment

I am going to try:

TOP:

Nike Dri-Fit -> Undergarment

BOTTOM:

Patagonia Capilene -> Undergarment

And for cold water/air

TOP:

Capilene -> Polarmax/Duofold Expedition weight -> Undergarment

BOTTOM:

Capilene -> Polarmax/Duofold Expedition Weight -> Undergarment

So essentially, a wicking layer, and then warmth or layered warmth.

Does silk actually wick sweat well? I feel like it makes me sweat more.

I have a friend that uses silk. I generally use a silk like layer of very thin polypropylene under the thicker thermals.
