Dr. Bones:
Can anyone tell me the difference between a RG 1206 and the new RG 1208?

The RG1205 first stage is silver

The RG1208 first stage is black

That's the biggest difference

They do use different diaphragms, as well. The RG1208's diaphragm is of a superior material allowing no IP fluctuation at high supply pressures (300 BAR or 3500 psi), whereas the RG1205's IP will fluctuate slightly at high supply pressures. What does this mean? Not much....nobody in the real world would notice any difference and the RG1205's were used extensively for years at high supply pressures, so it really is not a big deal.
