I'm a Fish!
I have the AI version and I just returned from a weekend of diving and went to DL my computer, I noticed it only said I had 4 dives to DL and not 6. I checked the display from today and it totals 6 dives within 24 hours 48 hour period as I had not reached the 24 hour period for it to shut down and reset.

My question is this. Why would my computer display 6 new logs but only DL 4, I have tried it on another computer and still same results. I do show 2 dives for another date that could be from this weekend but without verifying my display against the log I don't know. Could this be a problem with the computer???

I have even tried creating a new profile to DL to and capture all my dives and it will only DL the last 4.. Please help:confused:

This could be due to your sampling rate. If the sample/profile data eats
up into the sample memory used by previous dives, you will not be able
to download them. The older s/w used to allow downloading
dives if they didn't have dive profile data. The newer s/w doesn't
seem to allow this.
In other words, the computer can track up to 24 dives but
it can't necessarily track profile data for all 24 of them, depending
on the sample rate and how long the dives were.

Check your sampling rate. If you have it
set to 2 seconds, you will be limited to just a couple of hours
of data. I've found that 15 seconds is as low as you can practically
go on the AI, unless you want to download after every dive.

BTW, 15 seconds will give you about 16 hours of profile logging
before dive data starts to get lost.

I'm not sure what it is set to, but one would think that if that was the case it would start using the previous dives info first and not the most recent. I will check this out and see, but either way this is a new computer and I think the rate is set for 15 seconds, and that should still be more than enough to cover the dives logged.....

I still would like to hear from the Manufactuer on this one as well. Thanks for your input.....

Sorry for re-opening an old thread, but I'm having this exact problem with my wife's AI. Somehow the sampling rate was set to 2 seconds. I can manually see about 15 dives on the computer, but I can only download the last two dives. Bill indicated earlier that the current software only allows dives to be download if the detailed dive profile is available. His logic and math makes sense.

So what I'm looking for is confirmation from the manufacturer, and even more important, is there a way around this?

Thanks.
