Costa Rica Marriott in San Jose

I am about to book a room in this hotel, but their website has an asterisk and a little disclaimer that they are renovating the west wing. Has anybody stayed here lately? How annoying are the renovations? Is there a better hotel choice? Thanks.

I stayed there for a night on my way out and found it to be acceptable. Sorry I cant speak for the renovations currently.
