I was looking for finger spools and found a site called Canadian Extreme which offered a knockoffs of the Halcyon Defender spool.

I somehow deleted the bookmark and now can't locate the site again. Doesn't show up in any of my Google searches.

Anyone know the URL for this company?

just a quick note:

the spool they sell is 3" X 2" which is
the size of the 150' defender spool.

I only have one of that size, and the other
spools I have are the 75' defenders.

They are about 2 3/4" X 1 1/4" or so.

You may not want multiple 150' spools, the
small difference in size adds up and you don't
need 150' for jumps and gaps in general.

Also in the picture it kinda looks like one
side of the spool is larger than the other.
That can make it more awkward to use in
some situations.

I do own 2 of the Canadian lights and like 'em.

does it have a protrusion with a hole to attach a bolt snap like the Scout Light?

Can't tell from the photo...

I noticed that the spools only come with 18# line...hmmm.

I noticed that the spools only come with 18# line...hmmm. The backup light does have the extrusion for a bolt snap. Again, I own two of these and never had a problem with them. Do a search for "Canadian Extreme" and you will find several reviews.

Email Darren and ask him about custom line sizes - my two spools came with different size line. He's a pretty nice bloke.

It's very similar to the scout with the exception
of double o-rings and the fact you can use the
knurling as sandpaper ( it's very prominent )

Thanks for the info on the lopsidedness. I have
seen spools that are that way and don't like them.
If I need another 150' one I may get it.

What's up with the 18# line though?

Is the Halcyon spool that's sold w/ 100' of line the same spool as the 150' version (3" x 2") or does it have its own dimensions?

I'm pretty sure the 100' is sized in between
the 150 and 75 spool but I'm not entirely
positive 'cause I only have the 150 and 75.

http://www.oxycheq.com Preferences aside, Canadian Extreme is cheaper though - $30 versus $44 for spools, $65 (only $60 Buy-It-Now on eBay) versus $79 for lights.
