Anyone attending the Monterey Photo shootout/contest this coming weekend , 5/26-5/27??

I understand this is a very big event and that the place will be a diving zoo ??

I think I will Attend and see what it is like for my very first time!

Any info of what to expect would be great as I have not ever attended a photo contest!

Linda and I enter every year.

Rule 1 is have fun.

It's not THAT big of an event (60-90 entrants) so it's not a complete zoo. And the
entrants spread out over the beach dive sites.

And this is not the "shoot out". That's a different one-day contest that hasn't been
held for a couple of years, though I've heard rumors it might come back this
September.

I did it last year for the first time, and had a ball. I have limited experiance, but from what I can see, it's one of the fairest photo contest out there. Only one day, only beach diving allowed, no editing.

Everyone is very friendly, and it's alot of fun.

I'm really looking forward to this year's event,
