I need to make a longer basic harness, with my drysuit and heavy insulation, the stock basic harness barely makes it, problem, I don't know how long the basic harness is, and how much webbing to order to make a new one..... I don't want to unthread the old one until i have the new webbing to replace it with

Get 8-10 feet of 2" webbing (it's cheap)...too little won't work....too much (with suit on, and about 6" extra after buckling)....cut, burn edge, throw away! (or save for a teeeeeeny weight belt!).

I'm going to say the new harnesses before they are cut are 12-13 foot long.
