bummer, I'm about 2 weeks late. I ended up in the yellow pages and dove with Scuba Emporium. Very nice (new) shop, and professional captain, DM. All went well.

In the event the dive shop doesn't have them, you can get it online. It is valid instantly. You can also get it instantly over the phone...my best friend forgot to get one a few years back and called from his cell phone on the way out of the inlet! You need a credit card and you simply write down the temporary authorization number in the event that you are stopped by marine patrol (which you WILL be...)
