Hello ScubaBoarders!

We thought the ScubaBoard community might be interested in checking out the 2007 Diving Almanac & Year Book, which we're offering free with a $25 membership/donation to MarineBio.org. You will also receive the unlock code for our fabulous screensavers, underwater photos, and underwater video.

MarineBio is a nonprofit dedicated to providing marine enthusiasts with an evolving online tribute to all ocean life, marine biology, and marine conservation. We're a volunteer organization of marine biologists, students, professors, and conservation advocates working to share the wonders of the ocean realm to inspire education, research, and a sea ethic. MarineBio provides extensive information on marine conservation, science, news, research, education and a one-of-a-kind growing species database that serves homepages for the ocean's most common and endangered marine species. We're working on launching new reef fish species pages, so be sure to stay tuned!

But more about the free stuff.....

The 2007 Diving Almanac
is an excellent and extremely comprehensive resource on ALL things diving. Its 556 pages cover everything from diving history, to diving medicine and first aid, to places to dive, equipment and gear, worldwide diving records, industry statistics from all over the world, upcoming events, technical diving etc.

This first edition of the almanac is the only publication of its kind on the market. There is not another single resource in print or online with as much information as there is in this book. Undercurrent magazine calls this “perhaps the best single reference book published for divers.”

We’d like to thank the Almanac's author, Jeffrey Gallant, who kindly donated copies of the book to MarineBio.org to support our work.

At a minimum we hope ScubaBoarders will check out MarineBio.org - and if you like what we're doing to raise awareness about marine life and marine conservation - join us and we'll be happy to send you a copy of the 2007 Diving Almanac.
