Ive read the the Pinnacle merino lining is less buoyant than your averrage wetsuit, has anyone require any less weight in this suit?

I have two Pinnacle suits, one with the Merino lining and one without. I don't the believe the Merino lining is any less buoyant. I think the theory is that it makes the suit warmer so you can get by with a 5mm instead of a 7mm, or a 3mm instead of a 5mm, so you use less weight. So, for a normal suit to be as warm as a Merino suit, it would need to be thinker and therefore more buoyant. Same goes for Hendersons with Gold Core, but Pinnacle claims Merino is superior of course.

Nope, still use the same weight when I use my merino vested hood.
