That was a automatic Deco stop calculator automat for sportdiver made,it was or is

no nonsence and i like this old thing but do not need it anymore,well subapro had

make a BC with some like that on it installed...

There was a bladder filled with air that defused through a porous plug made of (I kid you not) "Element X". As gas defused through (or out) it moved the indicator needle to allegedly tell you your decompression status. Not dependable or safe.
