I too used O2/2 for a while and enjoyed the stability provided vs. Windows at the time. Along similar lines, Betamax was a better video format, but VHS was marketed better and untilmately survived. subSONIC January 15th, 2003, 04:54 AM Agreed....a good product but certainly not superior. Superiority in the OS market demands the software to be usable and intuitive for the less technical user i.e. the home user, and OS2 was anything but user friendly. It hardly crashed, it supported true multi-tasking way ahead of its time etc etc.....but it had tough competition. We're seeing a similar contender in Linux (for the desktop).
