I currently own a nikon d70 and im happy with it i was looking at geting a houseing for it and noticed it was very pricy i dont want to spend 1000 on a houseing when i can get a cheaper camera and houseing for less but im not sure which one.. i like clear pictures.. i dont mind editing them after but i noticed alot of the sealite cameras dont do a good job all the pictures look blury.. my dad has a nikon d200 and i really like that camera its very nice but the houseing is the same price and i dont want to spend that much when you add strobes and everything it costs a ton im looking for a purly underwater camera

I also have another camera that the housing was way to much. I got a small point and shoot with the OEM housing. Then added a strobe to the mix for better results. When it was all said and done I was close to the price of the housing for my other camera. Have not used it in the water yet but it looks like it will do the job. Good luck and check out the sticky at the top of the section it helped me. I also found some info scubadiving.com site.

I'm at the other end of the spectrum -- I use a D200 underwater. Between the housing, ports, strobes, arms, batteries, chargers,.................. You can spend a lot of money on gear. Also remember that you have to carry all that crap on the plane when you travel!

I couldn't imagine using a P&S, I love my DSLR gear way to much.

Waayyyy to much gear for me :D But, I bet you guys get great pictures.

I'm happy with my Reefmaster Mini. Just a P&S hanging from a retractor on my right shoulder for those "Gee... sure wish I had a camera" moments.
