Intermediate Pressure

What are most people setting their intermediate pressure to for Dives beyound 200 feet, on mix.

I use the same pressure for air at 100FT.. Why do you ask? what regulators are you using? what's your real question?

I thought it was a straight forward question. However most regs are set at 120-140 psi intermediate pressure. I have heard that people lower the I/P even lower due to Helium in the mix being a lighter gas.

Keep the intermediate pressure the same for all gases, usually at the lower end of recommended pressure range. No need to reduce it with mix. Mix makes any regulator feel like the best.

I'm not doing tech stuff but, I keep my IP at 145 or 140.

There can't be an absolute answer because regs differ in the way they perform when you turn them down. I keep my Apeks (my main backgas regs) at 120. My Beuchat single tank reg doesn't perform well at 120, so i keep it at 135. My Scubapros have minds of their own and usually live at 150 no matter what I do, so they are deco regs.

My Scubapros are set to factory specs and work fine to 200' I see no reason to change them.

Most of us in our team run them at 125 to 140 scubapro and posedion combinations!

Jetsteams and mark 20's and 25's

work fabulous for Great Lakes diving depths in the 300 foot range..
