I have a friend of a friend that has a Suunto Cobra (first version) that he will sell me for $375.00. It does not have a lot of dives on it. Maybe 3 or 4 and has been collecting dust for about a year. No scratch or other defects.

No receipt and of course, the Cobra 2 is out. It seems to me to be a good deal for a person that does maybe fifteen dives a year and will eventually do a watch. Always nice to have a backup anyway.

I know the Cobra has had it share of problems but it seems hit and miss besides all the computers from all the manufactures are hit and miss. No warranty on this, would have to pay myself.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks :smiley5:

Sounds good to me. My wife & I have Cobras and have put approx. 1500 dives (750 + 750) on them with no problems at all. It's a good, solid (somewhat conservative) computer.

Now that the new Cobras are out, can you drive the price down further? I would try.

sounds great, but I think you can search some new online, and the price is not too expensive

I have a Cobra and don't have to many dives on it but I love it. Works like a champ. I bought it from someone here so it was not new but it had never been in the water.

$375 sounds like a good price to me. Make an offer if you don't like the price.

I have a cobra I've used for 5 years without a problem. My only worry with buying a used one would be, if it dies on the second dive, you're out of luck.

I love my Cobra. I'd jump all over that offer and counter at $325. Hold tight and you should have it for less than $350.
