Cap'n Ron's and Reef Adventures, Belize.

Is any one familiar with "Cap'n Ron's Condos" and/or "Reef Adventures" (dive operator) on Ambergis Caye, Belize? I did see that there was a thread asking about Reef Adventures with 1 response on 11/9/07. Any more input on either one?

Cap'n Ron's is at Paradise Villas - Belize Vacation Condo Rentals, Ambergris Caye Beach Resort Condos (http://www.belizevilla.com/) . It's a nice complex with beautiful, well kept grounds. There is a sea wall running along the entire property so if you are into sitting on the beach at the waters edge, this could be an issue.

I haven't been to San Pedro for almost a year and it's my understanding that there have been a lot of changes with dive shops changing hands and locations. I'm not sure if Reef Adventures is still there.

However, I would recommend that you not buy your diving before going to SP anyway. Walk the beach, talk to a few of the reputable operators about your needs/wants and then choose the best one for you. If you are staying at Paradise Villas, all the outfits in town will come and pick you up on the pier.

some of paradise villas is managed by tradewinds belize. you might want to check them out as they have several updated units there. i don't know how they price out vs. capt. ron.
As you are asking about Reef adv. it is a very small dive shop located just north of the PV property.
i believe they have 1 instructor and a dive master, from what i understand they are a good dive center.
