Dove in Jeff's Quarry (a private quarry) near Murfreesboro, TN. This was my first TN dive. I dove my doubles to gain more practice. I did 42' for 56 mins. Viz was pretty bad at 1-5'. The quarry became purple with algae which made the bottom black. Very eerie with oozing claylike silt. Weather was rainy at 45F with water temps as 59F at surface and 56F at the bottom. The quarry itself was nice and secluded. The submerged items were in process of being surveyed by a local DM where some had tiny floats attached. There were cars, boats, platforms, a city bus, tires, an airplane and a van with a small skeleton suspended. Thanks to Skip whom we met in KY at Pennyroyal who gave us a heads up to this site and met us there to review it.
