I'm looking for a good source of information on Octopus. Any marine biologist types out there that could direct me? Why? I'm writing a children's book and the main character is an Octopus, so I need some background stuff. It needs to have an educational component. Any help?:coffee: Don't say - Google it. I've tried that already.

I used to keep several Octopuses/Octopods. Amazing creatures, fun guys. You can PM me if you'd like. Sepia (cuttlefish) are also loads of fun. Such personalities.

One of my dive buddies is a marine biologist, and is out here working with UAF's Marine Advisory Program. From time to time, we'll catch critters to keep in his office SW tank, which he then uses for teaching classes to our local kids. Octopus are always a big hit.
Here's a video of a GPO we named "The Destroyer" attacking a Tanner crab. Pretty cool!

We also have a video somewhere of an anemone eating a King crab... still waiting to upload that one, but it's awesome!
