A friend & I dove the Edmonds Underwater Park in Puget Sound last sunday and I had a chance to try out my brand new Canon G9. The recent heavy rains have not been great for the visibility, but that didn't stop me from finding some good close up stuff.
I saw more colorful nudibranchs than I have seen on many other dives, since we were just crawling along the guide ropes.
Here are 3 shots that I think turned out pretty well:

Puget Sound has an incredible array of nudibranchs ... as you branch out to different parts of the Sound you'll find a wonderful diversity of them to take pictures of. They're some of my favorite photo subjects ... not only because they're so colorful, but because they don't swim away between the time ya press the shutter and the time the flash goes off ... :D

Nice job on the Acanthodoris nanaimoensis. Those translucent white guys are hard to shoot, being so reflective. The Diaulula Sandiegensis is really nice as well. I haven't seen one with that color markings. They're normally quite black around here.

Yah, luv the Nudie Cuties...
My favorites... what with all the colors and all...

I don't have the skills to take the pics myself, but I have good friends who share with me on our dive trips. In the winter there are nudies everywhere here, and they are beautiful!
