Hello All,

I recently experienced image sensor problems with my Canon S1IS, after doing a bit of research I found that Canon and a few other manufacturer fix this problem for free even after warrantee expiration.

Go to http://www.imaging-resource.com/badccds.html for details.

Unfortunately, rather than fix my S1IS Canon replaced it with an S3IS-a better unit as far as cameras go, but it will not fit into my old housing.

Kudos to Canon for their quick turn around time and customer service.

Good luck,

I just sent my son's Nikon Coolpix 5400 back to Nikon, sensor fixed ... no charge.

I have an S2is, will it fit into your old housing? How much?

I am not sure I understand your question. Are you looking to sell your S2is or are you wanting to know how much I want to sell the housing for? At any rate, I think the S2is and the S3is use the same Ikelite housing, so chances are my (Canon) housing would not work. In the meantime, I am trying to find another S1is so that I do not have to buy another case or sell the one I have.

I see you are off soon on vacation and hope you can find what you need before then.
