I have a S&S type II ttl converter (for Nikon) and have just experienced my 3rd flood in 4 months. The flood occurred in the same manner each time: 2nd or 3rd dive new from the box, the red indicator will flash for a second or two, then nothing, upon inspection found the converter half filled with water.

FYI there has been no solution from S&S given (I did not ask) but the previous two converters were replaced free of charge. Contacted them about this third flood and was told to return. Surely am asking for an explaination this time.

Has anybody had flood problems with the ttl converters from Sea & Sea?

Someone I dive with has had the same experience, multiple TTL converters flooding. I think the most recent was even with the newest Nikon (III?) converter.

The problems I have read about their TTL converters, alone, are enough to make my shy away from Sea&Sea (that and less support for Canon).
