Every time I activate my atmos 2 computer my battery icon blinks and shows that it needs to be replaced. Then after about five minutes it shows a full battery. I have already replace the battery (what a pain that was). So the battery should be good. I have had this computer for at least 1 year. What is wrong and what should i do?

This is a well-known issue. Basically, the computer runs off a large capacitor, and turning on the system is charging the cap. Some batteries can't quite deliver all the desired current, so the batt icon flashes during this charge period.

There's a good thread here (http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/aeris/163608-erroneous-low-batt-indicator-atmos-ii.html) including a response from Aeris, starting at about post #12.

It's not an issue, and if you don't like it, you can use batts from a different manufacturer that have a higher current delivery capacity.

Using the exact same brand as shipped from the factory (Sony) should help solve this problem as the Sony CR cells can deliver higher peak current than many others.
