How bad of choice Egypt in early March?

Hey There SB'ers.

I was wondering about DAHAB in early March. I don't expect bathwater obviously, but in a long suit 3mm are we okay?

Any thoughts?

It depends on how do you feel cold but normally it's not OK. IMO, you need at least a 5mm full suit.

Agreed to what Asser just said above BUT if you dive max of 2 dives a day, a brand new 3mm can do the job (dive morning & put the suit in the sun until afternoon...), also important how long take your dive....any way good choice of time

You dive dry from november to april

For me RedSea in march will be dry or double 7mm with hood

Hmmm, not exactly.

I dive shorty all the year round

But I never recommend it to anybody.
Last year my shorty was worn enough so I decided to get a new 5mm full suit.
Bad decision :no

Do you live in the DEEEP south or do you pack some biopreen

I still dive 7mm in june/juli :dork2:

I dive all over the Egyptian Red Sea, from Dahab to Deep South.

I also tried Ain Sokhna a couple of times. Not a good choice.

Yeah shorty year round but take into consideration that I don't wear heavy cloths in winter; T-shirt year round also

Also heading to Red Sea in early march, was considering new 5m suit and rash vest, me thinks that should suffice?!

Hey Guys and Gals. I started another thread as we moved our trip a little south to Marsa Alam and changed from early march to the 2nd week of april. Any difference?
