Does the water temperature only show up in log view? From reading thru Aeris website the sepcs on this computer say there is no temperature reading, however when I read the manual, the log portion clearly shows the min water temperature during the dive.

Thanks!

Are you sure that isn't a standard manual for XR - 1's and XR -2's? Because my XR - 2 has temp shown all the time... Just food for thought

That's odd. I had to go look at the web site to see, but the specs do say no temp display. If you look at the manual though it tells you that the temp is displayed on screen 3 during a dive. Anyway, I use an XR1 and it will show you temperature during the dive on screen 3. Must just be a typo on the specs web site.

Another question - do you find the lack of a backlit display to be an issue? I will be using this in the Keys and Carib only.

Thanks!

Doesn't matter now - I ordered one ;)

You shouldn't have a problem with not having a backlight display in the Keys or Caribbean. It would have been helpful to me once at about 80' in a quarry. I just had to angle it around to catch some more natural light and was ok.

Of course if you're night diving . . . .
