The Cold War has resumed with Russia sending a frontal excursion to Alaska. First excursion in many years. Temperatures reduced to -40 to -65 depending on location. Ice fog has caused severely restricted visibility and collisions. There have been reports of wheels falling off vehicles. Traffic has been slowed or stalled due to mechanical casualities.

Resistance has been futile. There is no end in sight.

I remember attending a social function back in the early 90s where a gentleman from Alaska and a lady from Siberia met. Each of them thought the other came from a very cold place.

Siberia jumping off place for invading force. Cold is moving slowly but overwhelming all in its' path.

New troops in Alaska have never seen such before and are struggling. They claim they were lulled into complacency by stories of Global Warming.

Waterways are frozen for first time in memory.

Some claim Russia has allied with the Borg Cube and Resistance Is Futile.

Brrrrrr

After initial success that at one time resulted in widespread temperatures in the -65F to -70F range and dense ice fog that lowered visibility to a few feet the invasion seems to be falling apart.

Reports from the front seem to show that the high pressure to succeed is fading. Apparently the entire front is deflating. Resistance was not succeeding. But, lack of support from the Siberian homeland is lowering and the excursion is now doomed to extinction.

Temperatures have warmed to the -15F range and life is returning to normal; or as normal as it can be.
