I'm not sure if this is where I should post this, but I'll give it a go anyway. Does anyone know of a "good" cavern instructor in Akumal that I could possibly get in touch with. I will be there for a while at the last of June and the begining of July. We are interested in other diving also, let me know if there is an operation to stay away from or one that you recommend. Thanks in advance.

It's been two years since I was there, but at that time I was very favorably impressed with the staff at Aquatech/Villas de Rosa.

Steve Gerrard is arguably one of the best in the world. He's easy to find!

That's where the DIR-Mexico guys teach out of.

unit240, I have a couple extra Aquatech flyers that they handed out at DEMA if you're interested. PM me with a snail mail address and I'll drop one in the mail.

Steve Gerrard is no longer with Villa de Rosa. He and his wife Kate Lewis teach and guide in the Akumal area. He can be reached at http://www.steve-gerrard.com/
