The XSscuba STA weight pouch may be good for light trim but it wont replace a V or P weight, 6lbs of shot will hamper contact between STA and tank...

My understanding was it went on the other side of the plate... between your back and the plate. At least that's how I use the one I made that looks like this one (mine is only 2# though)

that is a p weight, not a STA weight
it goes on the other side of the backplate and i think it's only supposed to fit 4lbs of shot as well
