Me and my brother are planning to dive the "Mighty O" in March and I was looking for some input on some of the better dive ops in Pensacola.
 
I agree, Orange Beach / Gulf Shores is just over a half hour away from downtown Pensacola, and it's a pleasant drive. I've been out on 3 different charters and they are all good but my favorite trip was with Gary (boat was the Cat n Around).
 
I’ll second MBT you will find it hard to beat the friendliest not to mention one of the best priced dive shops around. Just give them a yell and let them know your needs from a small boat to a larger one they can fix you right up. MBT Divers Dive shop Pensacola, FL
