I live so close I can see the hyatt from my street, so I'll be stopping in for sure.

Is this a new show? Any idea what the attendance might be? I am possibly interested in exhibiting and am trying to get an idea if it will be worth the trip from Chicago & investment.

This will be our first year in DC, we also produce Florida Dive Show, Texas Dive Show and Georgia Dive Show. The DC show will be our first show to include a photography contest. A list of the venders at this show and the others can be found at, Dive Chronicles Magazine - Dive Shows - Learn to Dive (http://www.divechronicles.com/) under tradeshows. The photo contest rules can also be found at, DC Dive Show (http://www.divechronicles.com/DCDiveShow/) this link.
You will also find information on how to apply for booth space for the show.

Cool! I'll be there. What local dive shops are participating? You might want to post to the Mid Atlantic Bottom Feeder's forum too ... I only found this post 'cause Atlantic Edge sent out a newsletter article and I noticed that ScubaBoard will have a booth based on your website.

Oooo, my first experience at a SB booth, nice.
Any idea who is going? Are you planning to be there Pete? Howard and Michelle maybe? ...I don't really know many others, but it's always good to meet new people.

The "Tickets" link on the web site doesn't work. It returns the rules for the photo contest.
Does anyone have info on tickets?

For tickets, Aquatic Adventures in Alexandria has coupons or passes for purchasing tickets at half-price.

Half price tickets for the dc show can be found in most of the local dive stores. The cost with the ticket is $5.00. I still have a few free tickets left, if you send me an e-mail with your address i will send you one. I am in cozumel at dive chronicles digital jam until sept/7 so it would not be senT until after my return TO THE US.

The link for ticket information on the website is still broken. There's no way to tell how much tix cost on the website. We'd love to have a successful dive show here in DC that will come back year after year. Suffice it to say fixing that link would be a good idea.

Also your brochure doesn't have the website address or the hours of the show. Perhaps you didn't know when the brochure was printed. I realize this is the first show here in DC but these signs don't bode well. I'll be there anyway, of course. :-)

Scratch that, I don't get a SB booth experience. I'll be diving in Fort Lauderdale that weekend.

I'll be out there, probably both days, I wish the website has some more useful information. I have a feeling this thing is going to be a bomb, I just don't see any advertising for this show.

Yep, and from what I've seen they only have about half the booths filled, too. I'm going, but I don't have a good feeling about it right now.

GSDMAN, My wife Susanne and I will have a booth, showing some new Force fins. Tell your friends about the dc show. Let's make it a team effort to help Brad Nolan pull off a great dive show. I see several of my good friends will be attending.

While it has not been widely advertised, there will be a dive show in DC this Friday and Saturday at the Crystal City Hyatt. On Friday evening there will booths as well as a dinner film festival, with presentations from Stan Waterman, Leigh Bishop, Richie Kohler, and others. I think Richie may have the new TITANIC book available, I will definitely have my new book there, and Leigh will talk about his plans to eventually, some day, write a book. There will be booths and presentations all day Saturday as well.
Hope to see some of you there.
Cheers,
Mike

I just spoke with Brad at Dive Chronicles. He says.
The presentation sked is now posted on the web site. All presentations are included in the floor admission ($10) except the Cathy Chruch series and the Friday evening dinner presentation. The Cathy Church series is $75 for each day. The dinner presentation is as posted.
The exhibitor list on the web site is current as of today.

I went to the show tonight. Given some of the bumps in promotion I was a tad weary. It was great - well, maybe not great very much worth it. Stuck around for the dinner which was also very nice. I'll be back all day tomorrow and I strongly recommend going. I very much hope the show will come back every year from now on. There's a large market for this in DC and with some smoothing out of a few issues this could really grow into something big.

Bruce and I will be there shortly. Looking forward to it and any future ones. I'm the one with long red hair wearing a Roatan Marine Park t-shirt. Bruce has on his Nitrox Yellow 2008 Dive Camp t-shirt. It's very bright.

It was a cool show, It was fun to meet many of you and makes some cool contacts, and I very much look forward to diving with some of you in the near future.
It would be great to get more of the local retailers and a couple more of the manufactures out, but that will come with time.
I was proud to meet Richie Kohler, finally... great presentation, a huge teaser, but has my interest really perked for the book and the History Channel Specials.

lol...Brad was awesome...he was very adamant about me getting my five dollars back after he saw me helping out at one of the booths. "Did you pay to get in here? You don't pay!"
Meesier, I met a bunch of shop owners hanging around that big table to the right when you walked in - I want to say it was mid atlantic scuba or something like that? My LDS was the only one that took the jump and got their own booth, though.
I'm looking forward to seeing how this will grow next year.

I had a great time. I found out there was a new dive shop in Woodbridge VA. That alone made it worth the trip. Plus all the cool people I got to meet. Thanks for putting it out there.
Thanks
