Some more info!

Where do you go to get your hydro tests? Address? Phone? Website? What do you like about them? do they do it themselves or just offer the service of someone else?

You post and I'll put together the list, organized by Island.

I've got a few tanks that are in need of a hydro test. Anyone know where I can take them to get done other than Da Kine or an lds?

Thanks,

Island Hydrostatics
47-248 Miomio Loop
Kaneohe, HI 96744
(808) 239-8990
Open 8am-4pm Monday through Friday.

Talked to them yesterday and was quoted $15/ tank for hydro with a turn around of about a week. They also do VIPs, but I didn't ask cause I have to O2 clean these tanks anyways...

I just had two done at Oahu Fire Protection Services.

96-1350 Waihona St
Pearl City, HI
808-455-1295
8am - 4:30pm

It cost $20 per tank for both Hydro and VIP. I dropped them off on a Monday and received a call on Friday of the same week they were ready.

Useful information! I wonder if they'll do storage bottles too ... I have 4 444s that are just now out of hydro. Gonna be a pain in the butt to get those things into the back of the 4Runner...

Aloha all,
as far as the Big Island, I cannot say enough GOOD about the guys at Sandwich Isle for hydro testing. Their expertise (especially with steel tanks) is a huge improvement to what we had as alternatives.

I strongly recommend Sandwich Isle for hydro testing.
Not a paid endorsement either.;)

I know this has been dead for a year, but I thought I would throw some updated prices for Hydros and VIPs on Oahu.
Island Hydrostatics - AL80 Hydro and VIP for $25 + tax each.
Oahu Fire Protection - AL80 Hydro and VIP for @24.95+ tax each.
LDS, somewhere around $40 each.
