Sticker Contest - How to thread.

Here is a way to take that contest photo under water.

Get a piece of plexiglas/lexan and cut out the sticker, leave a place for a hole to attach it to your gear. Take below, set next to subject and shoot, remove to use for other shots.

Example. If you get the red X Right click then click Show Picture

Or, you can laminate and weight it down just a bit ;)

Here are a couple laminated and holes punched for a small amount of line and weights. This will allow it to be placed just about anywhere under water

I like it!I went to the local Wally World and got the "swivel" fishing line connectors and a couple small weights... I will be trying this contraption on this weekend's dives. I'm hoping to plop it down in front of some morays and some lobsters to get a feel for how that works...

Ok, had to make a change to the setup...

Added to "floats" to the top of the sticker to have it actually float (Something about physics, or something like that)...

So....

Laminate (punch holes top and bottom)
Add "leader line/wieghts" to the bottom
Add "floats" to the top..

In some photos you can edit out one or the other...

Would it be a violation of the rules to post a graphic of the sticker so that people could cutout and laminate it? That would eliminate the frustration of waiting for stickers to arrive.

Hey! No Photoslop allowed. That's what I like about the laminated edges. It's hard to Photoslop translucence.

Well, I know the contest is over but I am taking some stickers to Saba this next week anyway :D

I should have some good above, and below shots from this one... Maybe I can get a grey reef shark to pose with one... hmmm

Maybe from the top of Mt. Scenery... or... Sea Saba might be a nice shot. Perhaps I should PM El and see if he placed any stickers around Saba... Then, I could get a shot of a sticker he already placed (A walk down memory lane for him)... Maybe Jill will have her baby... Perhaps Benson will have a spin-off show... All on the next... Soap...
