I don't post in here anymore, but thought I'd drop in for nostalgia's sake. Must have been 3 years ago now, Scuba Punk (Frank) used to post in here, and we were doing the weight loss challenge. Frank mentioned he had done a triathlon... well, that inspired me, so I started exercising, losing weight, and signe up for my first very short sprint tri in June 2005. He lured me over to beginnertriathlete.com, where I've been a member since before that first tri.
Stopped posting in here, but kept up with Frank over there. Frank doesn't post there rghtnow, he's on a bit of a life sabbatical, so I don't know where he is, but thought it fitting to come here and thank him for inspiring me.
This Sunday I am doing Ironman Arizona, my first full IM. 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike. 26.2 mile run. Without this subforum, and Frank, I may never have come this far.
