There will be a scuba event in Port Huron, MI on November 25, 2000. The funds raised will go to the Sanilac Shores Underwater Preserve and to a Shipwreck Museum. The show will feature exclusive video of the new wreck the Wexford. They will also have a segment on the Edmund Fitzgerald. All the information about times things start that day and tickets are on our site if you're interested. The Dive Calendar button will take you right to the information.

Thanks,

Looks like a great website, I'm looking forward to diving out in Michigan in the near future. Please keep posting info as you get it.

Thanks Mario! Let us know if there's any specific info you're looking for. We'll do our best to find it for you.

The show was great!! MichiganShipwrecks.com had a booth to display our web-site at the show. Having partners enabled me to also scoot around to other exibits and see the show too. The exibits were mostly local dive shops, dive clubs, book authors and merchandise dealers.

The show had a lengthy presentation about one of the expeditions to the Edmund Fitzgerald and the replacement of the Bell. They also had video and speakers about diving on the Wexford. The Wexford looks like a great wreck and I plan on diving it as soon as we can get a boat out of winter storage. They also had Dan Hall perform some of his music on stage.

All in all it is well worth the money to get in. Some of the money goes to one of the underwater preserves which helps us all by buoying wrecks. Overall attendance I believe was around 500. They do this every year so keep your eyes peeled for the next one if you can make it.

Jen,

Will you be at DEMA?

Btw, you didn't happen to take pictures of the event did you?

=-)

DEMA, No I wont be there. ;-0
I'm so unhappy about this but there's nothing I can do at this point. I will however make it a must for next year.

I personally did not take any pictures at the show but I will look into getting some from others who may have taken them.

Jennifer :loopy:
