Does anyone recommend a shell book appropriate for South Florida? Amazon has tons of different ones, but I'd like one that is similar to the REEF fish and reef guides I have.

Thanks!

Thanks! I'll get by with the 6th grade stuff as long as there are plenty of pictures!

I've seen that book and the photos are magnificent, as are any of the nature books in that series.

If you can find The Geology of the Florida Keys and Everglades by Edward Petuch, it has a really good picture/ID section. A lot of the shells in that book have been named by him. It is pretty advanced and gives the taxonomic names of the shells. Dr. Petuch is a Geologist at Florida Atlantic University in South Florida.

Are you smarter than a 6th grader?
