It looks like I may be spending most of May - Sept in the Cincinnati and Cleavland areas on business. How about some recommendations on dive centers and what not to miss. I'll be getting my drysuit in a couple of weeks so water temp wont be a problem.

I am looking at my schedule now to begin establishing charters for the summer.

While in Cleveland check out Gone to Sea Scuba in North Olmsted, Adventures in Diving in Strongsville, and don't miss the USS Cod on display.

North Olmsted and Strongsville are both suburbs and easy to get to from Cleveland.

Let me know when your schedule is firm and we will be more than happy to show off Gilboa!

Please don't take him to Gilboa on a weekend in the summer...hit it on a Wednesday when there's no one there....you want him to be able to see the plane, bus, totem pole, and all the other cool stuff right???

Also I think WhiteStar Park is a lot of fun to dive. Usually not that crowded, and the rock crushing tower is pretty cool too.

The "can't miss" is Gilboa Quarry, Ohio's premier diving facility :)

These web sites list most of the dive centers in Ohio. Not sure how up to date the information is, looks like the email for Gilboa is wrong in one of them.

Hope this helps! There are a bunch of divers here from KY, IN and OH so finding someone to dive with shouldn't be a problem!

I am surprised no one has mentioned hooking up wiht some of the guys and girls of the KPP on this board. But that is a good idea since we frequent the dive spots of Ohio. If you are interested I am going to try to put together a gathering for some people from school for the end of May, as long as the weather and water cooperates.

Keep an eye on the KPP section (as previous mentioned). We dive a lot near Louisville KY which is about 2 hrs from Cincy. You are more than welcome to join us on any of our get togethers.

Thanks, I'll check out KPP. I'm still not sure of exactly what my schedule is going to look like, I should have a better idea by April. Gilboa does sound interesting, especially since on of my objectives will be to gain experience with my new drysuit. Funny, I just read "Fatal Depth", and Gilboa gets mentioned in one of the chapters. The only other Quarry I've dove is Dutch Springs. Any one know if they are similar? What about Cleavland, any sites I should try to catch on Lake Erie?

I'll be near Cleveland in late May and am looking for some wreck dives. Does anyone have weblinks to boats that post schedules?
