Allthough the drysuits look very good, and I'm sure the are, there is some laughter on this side of the ocean about the tekst next to them.

"They can withstand most chemicals divers encounter".
Don't know about the water quality on your side.:D
But we don't have a lot of additives in our water.
Can you please explain.

Divers who encounter "contaminated water" want to make sure their Drysuit holds up. This will include jet fuel, motor oil, septic systems, ect. I am willing to guess the public safety, rescue or commercial divers even in your area have encountered this type of situation once or twice.

Hope this helps.

Yep it does,I'm gonna copy/past this in to the local forums, just to make it clear.

Thanks for the quick answer.
btw.Oceanic Benelux is going to let me testdive one of your BC's,man I'm excited.:D

Don't know what BC it's gonna be,but I'll post a review.:D

Hi
I'd very much like to have a closer look at these drysuits (the BioDry FX100 in particular), I have a few questions:
1. Are they currently available in Australia (specifically Victoria), if so what is the retail price?
2. I couldn't see properly from the photograph, are the boots attached or a 'Rock Boot' system?
3. Does the suit have a 'telescoping torso' and crotch strap commonly found on other front entry suits?
4. Are there customisable options, different types of pocket, pee valve etc?

Many Thanks.

Tony.

Hi Tony,

Thanks for the questions! You will be able to locate the nearest Hollis dealer in Aus by contacting Russell Kitt @ rjk@oceanicaus.com.au. These suits will begin shipping by mid-summer.

When ordering, you will have the option of either socks with overboots, or an attached (vulcanized) boot. In addition, you will have a variety of options from dry gloves to pee valves to additional pockets.

This revolutionary suit has eliminated the need for the standard telescoping torso and crotch strap because of the incredible freedom of movement. It has a stretch factor 300% greater than our original Bioflex, and is reinforced with Wearforce on the outside making it very durable.

Hope this helps.

Hi Nick
Appreciate for the info, I've already sumitted a query on oceanicaus.com.au if I don't hear back I'll email Russell directly.
Many thanks

Tony.
