Hello...

Anyone know where to get batteries for an Orca Skinny Dipper computer? I found the computer for about 50 bucks and need to get batteries for it. I know that they don't make that computer anymore. Any help would be great.

Thanks!

wasn't that computer known for flooding?

Don't be trusting your life too much to that old turd. Definately don't do planned deco on it.

I used one for years, then a Phoenix, never had a flood.

The non air integrated marathons and skinny dippers do have a bad trait of not telling you how long you have to remain at your ceiling. Otherwise, I like them, they are aggressive (you can back off on that by using the computer between your ears) and have a large easy to read display.

Hi scuby16,
I've had a SD for years,(no kidding), and it works fine for me as a back-up computer. (Rec diving only -no planned stops -except the safety stop, of course)
Last summer, I found batteries at
http://www.discountdivers.com/fx/computer5.html

You'll have to scroll and click down a few frames(?).
-listed as "lithium batteries for Orcas" approx $30-not cheap.
I tried to get them elsewhwre, but had no success.

Good luck, happy hunting.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the replies. This will just be used as a backup computer. I normally dive with an Oceanic Datamax Pro Plus. I love it!!!

Happy diving!

My version is the Sherwood Sigma II, which actually is a skinny dipper, I purhased it in 87. Its been working great since. I got batteries a few weeks ago at Batteries Plus. The cost for the bat. was $21.00 - $6.97 ea. I use the computer as a redundant one, and have an Genesis AI. (Escort- as main).

Sorry guys, just found this thread when searching with google.com, just wondering if anyone has a copy of the manual for the SkinnyDipper Mark II that they could email me ?

Also what batteries does it take ?

Thanks
