I just purchased 2 brand new react pro computers (one for me and my wife). We just took them out on their 1st dives and both of them have a very low audible alarm volume.

I was surprised to see in the dive log that I exceeded safe maximum acent rates and I wasn't hearing the beep upon reaching my safety stop.

Thinking that low battery had somthing to do with it, I replaced both batteries with brand new ones.... made no difference.... I also went as far as to cut a small hole in the back of my console where the speaker for the computer is - no difference.

The only way I can hear it underwater is to hold the computer to my ear. This is true for both devices (and my wife complains of the same thing so it is not a hearing problem :) ).

Has anyone else had this issue with these computers? Anything I can do? I am thinking of returning them.....

....so perhaps there is no answer, but I've always wondered the same thing about my Genesis React Pro (just got a new one). Is there any way to increase the sound of the alarm? In it's present level it is all but useless.
Thanks
