Just got a shiny new Atmos AI. I'm wondering about 2 things, both of which do not appear in the manual as far as I can tell.

1) If I wanted to, could I remove the compass?

2) While sitting here poking buttons at my desk, I'm now wondering how to turn it off. Does this thing turn off manually or no? If not, how will it turn off?

Thanks.

And another question I just thought of ...

Why doesn't Aeris provide a cover for the quick-disconnect interface when it is detached? Does it need one?

Hi Dave -
1) Yes - there is a lanyard attachment available to take its place
2) It will turn itself off in 2 hours, if no dive is made. If a dive is made, it will remain on until the time to fly countdown timer expires.

Not that I think it is totally necessary but if you want to put a cap on the QD
fitting on the computer to keep dust/lint etc out of the hole,
you can purchase a rubber/vinyl cap from Lowes Hardware for about 50 cents.

See photo, you want the orange one. It fits perfectly.
