hello all. Its been a while. I just got back from a deployment and I am doing some island hopping. Any advice on non-dive related activites. We are staying at the diamond Hawaii and have a truck to drive. Any info will help. Thanks.

The list is long, but here are a few of my favorite non submerged activities in my order of preference:

1) Haleakala for sunrise, sunset, stargazing and hiking
2) Polipoli park for picnics, scenery and hiking
3) Drive to Hana for the scenery, gardens and walks.
4) Iao valley for the scenery
5) Walking tour of Lahaina and the Print museum for the history
6) Drive around the west side for the scenery
7) Tedeschi winery for great views, fun tour and the history.
8) Early morning drive to LaPerouse bay for watching the dolphins
9) Sunset on any west side beach
10) Reefdancer glass bottom boat tour (Ok, I'm biased as I work on the boat - lol)

Other ideas that are popular, but I've not tried around here include:
1) Bike ride down Haleakala
2) Parasailing
3) Zip line tours
4) Horseback riding
5) Ulalena show
6) Sailing (America II for performance, Scotch Mist for relaxing)
7) ATV tours
8) Deep sea fishing

There's the short list

Have fun, and don't forget the diving and snorkeling while here

Aloha, Tim
