I recently aquired an octopus holder made by Innovative Industries. It has a stainless clip on one end, a split ring on the other end and a loop of cord sown somewhere in between.

How is this thing supposed to be used? I went to the website but they don't have any pictures; they don't even show the product.

I know it's a dumb question, but there just doesn't seem to be a logical way to use all of the parts to it.

I don't think you would use all the parts for it at once but I'd say that you would attach the split ring to a d ring on your bc and then loop the cord around the mouthpiece on the reg. Does that make sense? You could also attach it to your bc via the clip as well I suppose, or maybe both...?

Is this what you mean?

Nope, not it. Mine has the snap hook and the slip ring but instead of the plastic part mine has a loop of cord.

How about you take a pic of it? Then we can see it and tell you...

Looks like it slips over the mouthpiece.

IMO, a simple $0.99 snorkel keeper is the best. No need to get frustrated with gadgets. If you have to ask,....

That's actually a photo of a Split Ring Connector from Innovative Scuba. It works better as a reatining clip for a computer or other item with a molded in ring. The chord is not adjustable.

And, I agree with Splitlip. The silicon snorkel keeper works best for me.
