roatan

am planning a trip to fantasy island resort the first week of oct. got an unexpected week of vacation and decided to treat myself. anyone been to the resort? have never dove roatan before. thanks ldiver

Wow, an unexpected week of vacation. That is some good fortune.

FI used to be the creme-de-la creme of Roatan resorts, but changed ownership about 2 years ago. It had gone somewhat down hill prior to that, and apparently has continued the slide since the sale. Just very recently a major scuba magazine published a reader's review of Roatan resorts in which FI came in last.

I have never heard anything other than accolades for CoCoview. While we were staying there, guests from FI visited and told me that they regreted not staying at CoCoview.

You will have a great time and the diving is great!!

Diving in Roatan is pure pleasure. My deepest dive to 120 feet was done on the wall dive there.
You'll love it.
I'd go with Anthony's Key or CocoView.
