Great thread. Thanks for posting. Every year I am reminded again how dangerous it is to dive on the rigs. They are gone now, but Fred Mirambel at Adventure Quest in Metairie used to teach a rig diving specialty course. We actually had class time, learned how to enter and exit the rig, procedures, equipment, lines, murk layer, etc., and then made the dives.

I don't know if Harry's or any of the other dive shops along the gulf do that, but it is probably a good idea.
