The best way to attach lights, octo, etc to BP/W?

Just started diving and going to get a BP/W. I know they have D-rings, but what is the best way to attach hoses, lights, etc to the gear? Any suggestions as far as brands go?

Something that needs to be taken off (backup light, light head) uses a SS or brass dogclip. Hoses or something you just need to keep in place can use inner tube or bungee depending on application.
