I am new to diving and am looking for good dive sites in Rhode Island. I have a boat in the Narraensett bay. I am looking for a relatively shallow site (in order to anchor the boat) where I can see some Marine Life.

thanks,

Beavertail at slack water, Indian Rock, Ft. Weatherill, Ft. Adams, most of the coast south of Newport.

Thank you for the info. I just found Ft Weatherhill. It was very well protected and had descent visibility.

the arches is another close, shallow site, as well as kettle bottom just outside of wetherill

Anyone know how to hook up with divers in RI? I'm from western CT and would like to do some diving there in august but need a buddy or group. (I'm a 59 year old divemaster, done mostly florida diving).
