I can't think of the name or location for it right now (sorry :( ) but someone has put together an excel spreadsheet that will assist in deco planning.

Perhaps one of the other more experienced divers can help.

I think Abyssmal has software to plan Deco dives. Its meant to be used with their computer (Abyss) but it can be used with any deco computer, I think. We have the demo at work...but I'm not a certified Tech diver, so I am at the end of the list to "play" with it. I'll get more info for you tomorrow.

But, their website is http://www.abysmal.com. Check it out...maybe it will help you.

Hi Robert

Are you familiar with bar (instead of psi),liters and meters? If so, I can get you an excel spreadsheet for decompression dives.
It can be used for Nitrox both in bottom mix as well as deco mix, and it's based on Buhllmann tables.
Your input is the depth and bottom time, tank (main and deco) capacities and pressures, mix and PO2, and it draws all planning. If you give the desired time and depth increments it also gives the main planning deviations: Longer, Deeper, Worst Case and Bail out.
It was made by a friend and we're still testing it, but so far we haven't found any mistakes.
But if you use psi and fsw they are useless.
Just let me know

Sue

Abysmal provides a very "graphics" oriented bit of software that is intended to run on a PC. their 'puter
runs their software on a wrist mounted dive 'puter.

http://www.gue.com for Decoplanner. DecoPlanner looks very similar
to an eXcel spread sheet is is very easy to use.

NWD,I trust ya'll are getting proper training to use this software.DiverDave listed'em.They all have quirks that training will allow you to accomadate.Try Jim Cobbs site,I think it's http://www.trimix.com.It has a great deal of info & tools available and Jim is very helpful.

Rather have a safely trained diver out there representing my hobby. The press that "tech" gets is bad enough with the guys who are trained.Add to the mix some under-trained accidents and some of my sites may get placed off-limits.I wish everyone could see the stuff we do.I'm doing a deep spring off the coast this weekend and most of my "informed" friends think I have a death wish.Proper training, tools and equipment make this stuff relatively easy. The software above should always be cross- checked.Even Deco-Planner,Abysmal and Pro-planner can't save you if an incorrect value is entered somewhere.Good Luck
