I saw on page 23 of the August 2008 Dive Training magz. an article that the 2009 World Police and Fire Games will include events for scuba diving. ;)

I'm 99.9999999% sure my department would not pay for us to participate. Although they send the SWAT team to every event east of the Mississippi.

If they do run the event (most of the time its cancelled) it doesn't really have anything to do with PSD. Its more of a recreational diving skills thing.

Still, it would be fun...

That's because SWAT RULES!!!!! It's the same here. I think that both should get equal showing and funding. Granted, SWAT gets utalized more but then why not give more funding for PSD. Very little is knowN up here about PSD as our Provincial Police. O.P.P. have most of the area covered. There are a few smaller forces ie. Metro Toronto and York that have teams. Sorry if I forgot anyone. My 2 cents.
