My LDS has a pair of regulators in the display case that they are willing to sell at a discount due to being older models. They are an SRB5600 Maximus and an SR5900 Blizzard. Are there any major technical / internal changes between these models and the current SRB7600 and SRB7900 models? I actually prefer the round purge button to the full faceplate of the newer designs but I want to be sure that the technology is equivalent. Thanks.

Dean C.

Dear Dean,

The 5000 series and the 7000 series from a technical standpoint are the same. They difference between the two series of regulators is the 2nd stage purge covers.

Thanks,
Sherwood Scuba

I'll be purchasing both of the regs thanks to your assistance. Thank you.
