Anybody got an update on Jellies at Destin Jetties?

I'll be bringing 3 new divers over and don't want their first post-cert dive to be too nettlesome.

High Tide on Sunday is Noon. Anybody want to meet at 10:30-11:00?

I just got back from the Pensacola area and the jellyfish situation is bad.
I had planned on snorkelling from shore at Pensacola Beach but the jellyfish were so abundant I could barely walk the beach without stepping on jellyfish that were washing up on the shore with each wave.
I ended up going over to Johnson Beach at the National Park where the inlet supposedly had less nettles.
It did have less but I still managed to get stung 3 times over a 10 minute period.

Two weekends ago the jellies were mostly easy to avoid at Destin Jetties. The ones that were there however packed a mighty punch. I'm still healing up from the one hit I took from a stray tenticle.

How are the jellies past a couple miles out?

Nearly non-existant at depth 6 miles offshore. sparse between 30ft and surface

More moon jellies than sea nettles off shore.

(Brass Wreck, this past weekend).
