9th Annual San Diego UnderSea Film Exhibition
Friday and Saturday evenings, August 22 and 23rd, 2008
Two extraordinary evenings of undersea films will highlight the 9th Annual San Diego UnderSea Film Exhibition will be held at Qualcomm Hall's big screen auditorium in San Diego on Friday and Saturday evenings, August 22 and 23rd, 2008. Utilizing a state of the art digital projection system, it promises to be an exciting showcase of digital video, including many in high definition, by some of the finest underwater filmmakers from around the world. A different program will be presented each evening beginning at 7:00 PM.
Each program will feature fifteen digital films. Presentations are limited to five minutes each of fast-paced entertainment. Subjects range from sharks to shipwrecks to colorful marine creatures, shot in exotic underwater locales worldwide, as well as in our own backyard.
An independent panel of three distinguished judges has selected the films to be shown from among many entries. This year's judges are John Moore, Hans Bertsch, and Natasha Stenbock.
Tickets are available for $15 per evening and online at sdufex.com/tickets, and at various San Diego dive shops, dive clubs and organizations,. Previous years' shows have been sellouts, so get your tickets early. Seating is open, and doors open 30 minutes prior to the show. Parking is free on the Qualcomm campus.
